We call them "boardshorts" but based on the way our customers use them, they could be called, "rafting in the Grand Canyon shorts"..."taking my two-year-old for his first trip to the beach shorts"... "going to a pool party shorts", etc. It's a bit of a mouthful...so we just went with "boardshorts".
